Memberships: St Theresa Catholic Church of Dighton, 4th Degree of Knights of Columbus, Dighton American Legion Post # 190 and Lane County Country Club

Bill attended his early schooling in Victoria and graduated from Mauer Hill Prep High School in Atchison. He attended Fort Hays State University before serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he played baseball in the Giants organization. He moved to Russell and worked for Mountain Iron Oilfield Supply. In 1958 he moved to Lane County and was a farmer. He moved into Dighton in 1982. Bill enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching sports and attending his Grandchildren’s athletic events. He was very active in his Church and Community and was on the Chain Gang for high school football games for many years and served as the Chaplain for the American Legion Honor Guard for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Brother- Jerry Roth, 1 Sister- Verna Robben & 1 Foster Grandson- Stephen Reed.
