Raymond attended school in Victor, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Navy for a short time during World War II. He moved to Hickok in 1946 to work at the Columbia Carbon Plant. In 1948 he moved to Garden City and worked for Long Bell Lumber Company and Gardiner’s Dairy. In 1955 he became a self employed building contractor and later a Land Developer. He enjoyed traveling to play golf, gardening, playing cards and cheering for the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Daughter- Phyllis Louise Chappel & 1 Sister- Lillian James.
