Obituary for Gladys Lee Mann
Gladys Lee Mann, 61 of Garden City died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born November 19, 1952 in Las Animas, Colorado the daughter of George & Marjorie (Oakley) Martin.
Gladys grew up in La Junta, Colorado where she attended school. She lived in various places throughout Colorado before moving to Garden City in 1984. She has lived in Garden City since. Gladys enjoyed making blankets, spending time on her computer, collecting Tweety Birds, vacationing in Colorado, and spending time with her grandchildren.
On October 5, 1969 she married Freddie L. Mann, Sr. in La Junta, Colorado. He survives. Other survivors include three children Freddie L. Mann, Jr. of Garden City, Michael C. Mann of Garden City, and Elizabeth L. Gossman of Garden City; two brothers Richard Morland of Colorado Springs, Co. and Floyd Salsbrenner of Muskogee, Ok.; and five grandchildren. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to service time on Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
