Benny attended grade school in Garden City and graduated from Holcomb High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1954 and served on a destroyer. After his discharge he returned to Garden City and then moved to Liberal in 1959 to work for Western Oil Drilling. In 1964 he moved back to Garden City and owned a gas station at Main and Kansas and then worked for Century Refinery. In 1970 he became the Fairgrounds Superintendent of the Finney County Fairgrounds, which he did for 30 years along with being a volunteer fireman for the Garden City Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and building model ships and airplanes. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Infant Son- Craig Allen Todd, Granddaughter- Kimbra Ellis Hahn, 2 Brothers- Paul Todd & Edward Todd & 1 Sister- Helen Dickens

1 Son Benny Ray & Linda Todd Poway, California
2 Grandchildren
9 Great-Grandchildren
