Obituary for Rex Alan Bayer

Rex Alan Bayer, 54 year old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died June 25, 2014 at his home. He was born April 2, 1960 in Garden City, Kansas to Joe Bayer and Margaret Gatlin Bayer. Rex was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Catherine Base and Jo Ellen Spears; and one brother, Karl Bayer.
He is survived by one son, Nick Bayer and wife Sumer Rose; one daughter, Starr Bayer of Garden City, Kansas; five sisters, Patty Quint of Mesa, Arizona, Mary Burrell of Siloam Springs, Karen Lubbers of Garden City, Sharon Moran of Newport News, Virginia, and Toni Martin of Garden City; four brothers, Donald Bayer of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Adam Bayer of Texas, Marty Bayer of Gentry, Arkansas, and Lester Bayer of St. Paul, Kansas; one granddaughter, Clara Bayer; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Fr. James E. Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials given to the Rex Bayer Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
