Obituary for Elsie Mae Bevan

Elsie Mae Bevan, age 79, of Hugoton, Kansas died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. She was born July 26, 1934, in Pueblo, Colorado the daughter of Otis and Velma (Tatman) Watkins.
Elsie grew up in Colorado then moved to Hugoton, Kansas in 1964. She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Friends Church where she taught Sunday School for a number of years, she was also a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed animals and embroidery.

On April 15, 1951 she married Robert Bevan, he survives of the home. She is also survived by one daughter Jeanette Bevan of Hugoton, Kansas, two brothers Lewis Watkins of Delta, Colorado and Harold Watkins of Los Angeles, California. One sister June Youts of Center, Colorado, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, son, Stacy Wayne Bevan, one brother Richard and one sister Anna Jane.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, Kansas with Reverend Larry Kinser officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S. Main, Hugoton, Kansas 67951 is in charge of arrangements.
