Obituary for Michael A. Cruz
Michael A. Cruz, 23 of Garden City, Kansas died Friday, April 4, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born March 19, 1991 in Garden City.
A lifetime resident of Garden City, Michael attended Garden City schools. He was employed by Cattle Empire and he enjoyed cooking and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his fiancé Alma Hernandez of Garden City; four children Emiliano Hernandez, Donnaliee Hernandez, Analiza Cruz, & Bella Cruz all of Garden City; his father Carl Cruz of Garden City; his mother Amelia Lopez of Garden City; four brothers Carlos Cruz of Garden City, Louis Cruz of Garden City, Eduardo Lopez of St. Augustine, Fl., & Manuel Moreno of Garden City; and a sister Vanessa Lopez of Garden City.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Iglesia Luterana La Resurrecion (518 N. 11th) in Garden City with Fr. Odir Flores officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
