Pearl Williams, age 93, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton, Kansas. She was born December 08, 1920 in Rolla, Kansas, the daughter of Ed and Minnie (Price) Stout.

Pearl grew up in Rolla and graduated from Rolla High School. She cooked at Rolla Grade School for a few years after graduation. Pearl married Charles H. Williams on September 25, 1940 in Johnson, Kansas. They lived in Colorado for a few years and raised sheep. They returned to Morton County, Kansas and established a farm with Charles’ family. Pearl and Charles shared the farming responsibilities. She was also a good cook and accomplished in embroidery. She belonged to A-Muse-U Club while living in the Dermont area. Pearl was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rolla.

Survivors include her two daughters, Charlotte Veatch and husband, Robert of Hugoton, Kansas, Junnae Landry and husband Stephen of Pratt, Kansas; two grandchildren, Aaron B. Landry and Ryan A. Landry.

Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Charles in 1991; brothers, Price Stout, Merle Stout and Virgil Stout; and sister, Stella Thompson.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Rolla, Kansas with Pastor Sandy Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rolla Cemetery in Rolla, Kansas. Friends may call Friday, April 4, 2014 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with family present, at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton. Memorial contributions may be given to the Hugoton Humane Society or Pheasant Heaven Charities in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S Main, Hugoton, KS 67951.
