Obituary for Mary H. Martin
Mary H. Martin, 60 of Lakin, Kansas died Friday, March 28, 2014 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born May 13, 1953 in Greeley, Colorado the daughter of Joe C. & Opal (Carrillo) Martinez.
Mary grew up in Greeley and attended Greeley Schools. She has been a resident of Kansas since 1982 living most of that time in Deerfield. She recently moved to Lakin. She married Angel Martinez in Pueblo, Colorado. A homemaker, Mary enjoyed shopping, helping other people and her church.
Survivors include four children Linda Cano of Deerfield, Ks., Enrique Espinoza, Jr. of Lakin, Ks., Rebecca Garcia of Lakin, Ks., & Monica Espinoza of Deerfield, Ks.; three brothers; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Angel who died in 2003. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and a granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Ks. with Pastor Rafael Franco officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Lakin. The family requests memorials given to the Mary H. Martin Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Lakin. Condolences may be emailed to garnandfh@sbcglobal.net.
